The Prudential Center, located in Newark, New Jersey, stands as a testament to one of the consistently elite-level teams in the National Hockey League. The New Jersey Devils have a longstanding tradition of excellence, and they have shown time and again that they are one of the most intriguing teams to watch in the entire NHL. Prudential Center is actually a very easy location to get to when you consider that it is located just two blocks away from Newark Penn Station. NJ Transit, Amtrak, and buses are all available options to get you to and from the arena without having to worry about the traffic in the area. However, using your car as transportation is not a bad idea, as there are many highways that surround Prudential Center. Highways 280 and 78 run directly past the building, which provides easy access if you are coming in off the turnpike.

The inside bowl contains four levels of seating and two levels of suites that border the sidelines. This helps to create a fan experience that you will not find at too many other arenas around the NHL. The New Jersey Devils have a great mixture of young talent and veteran leadership, which gives fans in all levels of Prudential Center something to cheer about. The video board that hangs over center ice is one of the most upscale scoreboards in the entire league. It provides high definition video of replays as well as other pertinent action around the league that is clear no matter what level you are sitting on.

During intermission or before the Devils game, you might want to explore what the concourse has to offer in terms of historical displays as well as concession stands. A tribute to past New Jersey Devils teams adorns one part of the main concourse. These pieces of memorabilia allow you to appreciate everything that the Devils organization has accomplished throughout their years in the NHL. If you are looking to satisfy your hunger, the concession stands are fully stocked with all of your traditional arena favorites. There are also many specialty stands that have everything from hot pastrami sandwiches to gyros and kabobs. The Acela Club is Prudential Center's personal restaurant that can offer you the opportunity to have a nice dinner while sitting back and relaxing in their plush surroundings. With old fashioned American favorites and a full buffet, the Acela Club is a great place to get your night started off right.

If you would rather enjoy one of the many restaurants that are in the general vicinity of Prudential Center, there are plenty of choices available to make sure you are able to find what you are looking for. Brick City Bar & Grill is a great place to get your evening started out on the right foot. This location is much more than burgers and fries, however, as their menu offers some excellent dishes that you will find very tasty. Brick City also has one of the biggest selections of beer in the Newark region, so you can attend to your thirst no matter what your taste in alcohol is. You can also visit Green Street Cafe, which is a great place to sit down and enjoy some of the best Italian cuisine that you can find anywhere. Their dishes are very well-priced, and they offer many different items to fit all kinds of tastes.

Once the game is over, you will no doubt still be excited from all of the action that the New Jersey Devils have just offered up. Now, you need to find a nightclub where you can go to dance and socialize the night away. Adega Lounge, located 3.5 blocks from Penn Station, is a great place to go to have a relaxing evening with a drink and the company of some of the friendliest Newark locals. With a full bar, dance floor, and food all available, Adega Lounge is one of the premier spots to go for entertainment in New Jersey. 118 Lounge on Stockton St. is another fantastic night club that is sure to keep you going until the wee hours of the morning. With popular music playing over the sound system at all times, there are plenty of options available to anyone looking for a great time.

Newark Museum is a great place to go if you are looking for something to do prior to attending a New Jersey Devils game. This expansive location offers great insight into how New Jersey has evolved over the years to where it is today. With both a history museum and an art museum on location, Newark Museum is just one of the many points of interest that surround Prudential Center. The New Jersey Historical Society also calls Newark home and offers visitors a wealth of knowledge relating to how the state has transformed itself over the course of many years. With a library full of historical documents, visitors are able to learn about New Jersey's history while also providing insight into where it will be going in the foreseeable future.

The Prudential Center is a hockey arena that you absolutely do not want to miss on your own Frozen Pond Pilgrimage. With roomy seating, great food options, and a great opportunity to see one of the best teams in the NHL play up close and personal, the Prudential Center provides visitors with a great experience and ample opportunities to have some genuine fun.
